Global Technical Manager – Fungicides (m/f/d) - 18044783

Role Purpose: 

As a Global Technical Manager, your remit is new disease control innovation. You will design, communicate and implement technical development strategies for new products and innovative technologies, leveraging predictive science and digital transformation tools in new Active Ingredients development in alignment with other R&D functions as well as marketing, digital and chemistry functions. You provide scientific and agronomic expertise as well as market and competitor foresight for technologies including precision application and digital innovation. You will drive complex development projects in an international, multifunctional and multicultural environment to deliver market competitive products through cross functional collaboration. In addition, you also ensure implementation of field trials programmes across all regions and serve as the key partner for technical counterparts in regions and countries as well as Global functions, incl. business and research and actively contribute to development of digital field trialling capabilities as part of the Crop Protection Development strategy.

Accountabilities:

• You lead the global technical development of new Active Ingredients’ plus key strategic projects, from early field testing through to product launch and Active Ingredients lifecycle management. You actively focus on looking for new approaches to enhance or re-position a product’s value proposition.
• You plan and coordinate harmonized field trial programs with a strong focus on predictive science driving holistic on-farm decisions, liaising with digital, research, the regions, and countries - assembling teams to deliver data efficiently and on time.
• You provide technical positioning for Active Ingredients and design and communicate technical strategies for sustainable product use and development plans to deliver agreed business objectives.
• You translate data into compelling technical launch plans that meet market/customer needs. 
• You lead biology activities within global MPTs and PLTs according to portfolio leveraging digital tools and technologies through intensive collaboration across functions and BUs to drive more efficient decision making.
• You foster technical networking, and actively seek contacts with customers and key influencers to develop and support solutions. 
• You actively contribute to development of new digital solutions that support trialing excellence and product offers.

 

Qualifications

 

Requirements: 

• Globally recognised technical expert in Agronomy, excellent knowledge and practical experience of agronomy (farmer practices) and agricultural sciences (e.g., MSc, Ph.D. or relevant agronomy experience) 
• 3 to 5 years local market experience in agronomy and disease control.
• A proven track record in successful cross-functional collaborations within and across projects.
• A proven track-record of delivering successful development projects in country/region/global role and a sound understanding of the Soybean/LATAM business would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in the planning, implementation and management of field trials.
• Experience in data analysis and visualisation techniques to generate powerful insights and present field trial results in a new and easily understandable way
• You are fluent in written and oral in English, any other language is an asset
• You are able to collaborate across functions and have the ability to influence, to lead and build a culture of innovation which creates an environment that inspires and supports creativity. You have strong pro-active communication skills and alignment with stakeholders.
