Job Description About the Role We are looking for a final-year Engineering or Finance student (Master’s level or equivalent) to join our Sales & Key Account team for a six-month internship at our Basel MRO site. Your main task will be to create a clear and reliable internal tool that brings together several information from different department into one place. This tool should help the team to make faster and more consistent decisions. To do this, you’ll combine engineering thinking, financial understanding, and a strong focus on usability. This tool will support management decisions on projects. The goal is to build a smart tool intuitive and useful that people will enjoy using. Job Description Project Background (Greenfield Setup) AMAC Aerospace Switzerland AG is launching a new EASA Part‑147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) in Switzerland. The objective is to deliver EASA Part‑66 Basic Training leading to the Basic License pathway for Category B1.1 (Mechanical) and Category B2 (Avionics). We are currently establishing our Part‑147 training organization and forming the initial instructor team. The successful candidates will help define training content and standards from the outset, ensuring full alignment with EASA requirements and FOCA/BAZL expectations. Job Description Your daily tasks & responsibilities Primary Responsibilities – Group Level Prepare consolidated monthly and annual financial statements of the AMAC Group in accordance with Swiss GAAP FER Support in the preparation of budgets, business plans, and regular forecasts Act as the main point of contact for external auditors Enhance reporting processes across subsidiaries Improve intercompany reconciliation and matching Maintain, update, and enhance the internal control system (ICS) at group level Support the Manager Finance & Controlling in various tasks Contribute to improvements of the group accounting manual Provide support to subsidiaries on accounting-related matters Contribute to various financial projects with potential responsibility ownership Primary Responsibilities – Swiss Subsidiary Prepare monthly closing for the Swiss subsidiary in collaboration with Accounting Prepare annual statutory financial statements of the main Swiss entity Serve as the primary contact for auditors Manage SERV and bank guarantees Prepare VAT declarations and act as internal contact for VAT-related topics Assist with tax-related matters Support preparation of budgets, business plans, and regular forecasts Contribute to the development and enhancement of Business Intelligence tools The expertise you have & skills you bring Swiss Certified fiduciary/accounting specialist (Fachausweis Treuhänder/Buchhalter), Swiss Certified Expert in Accounting & Controlling, or university degree in economics/finance (university/college), or equivalent qualification in Switzerland Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting and controlling in Switzerland Strong knowledge in accounting, cost calculation, and percentage-of-completion (POC) valuation Practical experience with Swiss GAAP FER and Swiss Code of Obligations is a must Service-oriented, proactive personality with strong initiative Fluency in English and German; French knowledge is an advantage Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Comfortable working in a fast-growing, international environment Willingness to travel and visit subsidiaries Experience with Lucanet and Abacus is an asset Advanced Excel skills What we offer you (among other things) A dynamic role in an exclusive, international environment Membership in a young, enthusiastic, and small team High level of autonomy and responsibility over assigned projects Collaboration with cross-functional teams Flexible working hours Competitive and attractive compensation package What we offer you (among other things) Working places: City office at Sternengasse 18 in Basel and Basel EuroAirport Apply Does your profile match our requirements?
