The group of Prof. Andreas Lüthi at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research is seeking a motivated and experienced research technician to support an SNSF Ambizione-funded project led by Dr. Nanci Winke. The project investigates how genetically defined neuronal populations in the basolateral amygdala contribute to emotional evaluation and guide motivated behaviour. The position is available immediately for a fixed term of three years at a 50% employment rate.
Our laboratory applies a multidisciplinary and integrated experimental approach in mice. We combine electrophysiological, imaging and behavioral techniques with advanced computational approaches to investigate the function of neuronal networks driving internal states, with an emphasis on the amygdala and interacting brain areas.
