      Job Description
      As a Recipe and Methods Specialist, you will provide solutions within Basel Drug Substance Manufacturing to ensure safe and high-quality ADC production. You will serve both our patients and employees by developing and implementing process improvements, while fostering dialogue and collaboration between local and global functions across Development, Innovation, and Regulatory areas.
      Within our RePeng Team (Recipe and Process Engineering), we are seeking a Recipe and Methods Specialist responsible for the development and maintenance of production recipes. During this assignment, you will support routine ADC production in a recipe authoring role and, to a greater extent, contribute to the implementation of a new production process and the qualification of new equipment.
      The ideal candidate has completed vocational training as a Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist or holds a relevant degree in a biotech or pharmaceutical technical field. You bring solid experience with highly automated systems (PLS/MES) and demonstrate an excellent understanding of GMP, quality, and safety requirements. You work independently and decisively in complex environments, communicate clearly and in a timely manner, and demonstrate strong teamwork and flexibility. Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.

      Tasks & Responsibilities- Responsible for the creation and optimization of production recipes and MES order templates and/or materials management and raw material handling.

      • Co-responsible for the creation and implementation of changes in PLS and MES.
      • Investigation and/or participation in the clarification of process deviations within the area of responsibility.
      • Active contribution to the optimization of process workflows, recipes, and PLS/MES systems.
      • Creation and revision of SOPs within the assigned area.
      • Support as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during internal and external audits and inspections.
      • Representation of production areas in local and global governance boards and task forces.
      • Close collaboration with Quality Assurance, MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences & Technology), and shift teams.
      • Technical support for shift operations to ensure robust and efficient GMP-compliant manufacturing processes, including participation in on-call (standby) duty.

      Must-Have Qualifications- Completed vocational training as a Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist with extensive professional experience, or a completed degree in a scientific or technical discipline, preferably in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a comparable qualification (*****)

      • Timely and effective communication skills with a strong sense of urgency (***)
      • Flexibility, strong teamwork skills, decisiveness, and the ability to work independently in a complex environment (**)
      • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken

      Nice to-Have Qualifications- 2–5 years of experience in biotechnological development, production, or quality assurance.

      • Experience in recipe creation using Siemens PCS7 and Unicorn batch recipe systems.
