In order to reinforce the team in Basel we are currently recruiting for an Electrical & Avionics Compliance Verification Engineer We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Avionics Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) to strengthen the CVE team within the Office of Airworthiness. As Electrical CVE you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to electrical system installations and products. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of quality and safety. As CVE you will form part of the well-established Office of Airworthiness within Jet Aviation’s EASA Part 21J Design Organisation, working primarily on CS 25 Large Aeroplanes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the engineering team across a variety of design activities such as VIP Completions, refurbishments, modifications, upgrades, defence and special mission. Description/Tasks: Classify design changes Thoroughly review electrical systems, designs and specifications to assess compliance with applicable standards and regulations Verify and approve engineering documentation, test plans, analysis and other certification documents related to design changes and modifications Coordinate with regulatory agencies Prepare certification programs Manage STC projects as Office of Airworthiness focal point for engineering Provide technical guidance and advise engineering team on compliance matters Execute Ground and Flight test CVE witnessing, including conformity Perform electrical CVE role in flight test preparation activities such as Flight Test Hazard assessments, or Safety Review Board meetings to support the flight test coordinator Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies Collaborate with other internal stakeholders, including quality, program management, production, installation, supply chain management to ensure compliance is integrated into the design Liaise with customers and suppliers Coach and mentor design organisation staff Assist the Office of Airworthiness in the development of procedures to maintain the Design Organisation Approvals Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and practices Advise on subcontractor qualification as a Subject Matter Expert Qualification/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 5 years experience in a Design Organisation Proven experience as an EASA CVE in electrical systems Experience in both minor and major changes Expert knowledge of EASA CS 25 regulations and standards related to electrical installations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Successful working experience in highly collaborative environments, demonstration to take initiatives and lead efforts inside the team Capable to act as Project Certification Manager or Lead CVE on STC project Fluent command of English language - both written and spoken Desired Characteristics: Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills, can work under pressure Proactive, forward thinking and team player Demonstrated principal engineer role Ability to adopt to changing priorities, work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency) If you are interested in a multicultural, challenging and innovative working environment and your profile matches our requirements, we are looking forward to receiving your online application in English.
